CONFLICTS OF DESIRES Text: Jonah 1 v 4, Mark 16 v 15. Jer 29 v 11 Beloved; I am grateful to the omnipotent (Almighty) God for the privilege of writing you once again. Sincerely, have you noticed the face of people these last few years, so long, so dull, so black, people are not smiling any more, what could be the reasons for this. The second book of Timothy chapter three verse one to four outlined some of these reason passively or actively all these thing will release the consequences. Nowadays people are not enjoying the Christian life anymore, and this is really bothering the heart of God, because salvation was meant to be enjoyed and not endured (Isaiah 12 v 3) what is meant to be endured is affliction (2Tim 2 v 3), which is even working for us a never ending state of blessedness and glory (IICor. 4v17). Being inconsistent in divine vision and goals has lead many into the pits of despair. Hopelessness, rejection, dejection has now come over many because they refused to come to terms with God, they are at loggerheads with the divine father because they in their human understanding feel that God’s will for them is not the best.. Sir/ma does this picture am painting looks like you? Jonah was asked to go to Nineveh, but he boarded a ship to tarshish, we all know that story. You are now wondering why things are not working. Why your husband doesn’t come home early, why all the doors of opportunities are shut. Why you fall out of favour with your Boss, why your marriage plans hits the rock. Sorry, I may have to put the mud in your eyes, it’s not the devil or your mother in-law the problem is you. The scripture declares “there is away that looks right to man, but the end are the ways of death (Prov. 14 v 12). There is a big argument in the heavens whether you will take the right step to end this CONFLICT OF DESIRES. First step to take is genuine repentance. * Repent: Turn your heart back to God and start considering heavenly things(Col 3 v 2) * Determine to serve God: No man having put his hand to the plough and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God. (Luke 9 v 62). * Carry your cross: See IITim 3 v 16 -17. Let me exhort you, Gods plans for his children are always the best, for This thoughts to us ward are… (Jer 29 v 11) and we know that all things work together for good… (Rom 8v28), since we were called for the purpose of the Good news, let us continue to put our trust in him with all our hearts and never to lean on our own understanding so he may direct our paths (Prov 3v5-7). This message is for you and I let us redeem the time, for the days are evil. Charles thanks for reminding me of the importance of the great commission. Truly our destiny is in our hand. PTL
