Anchor for the Soul.

I was resting this morning while my phone rang, i glanced at it and i suddenly remember that femi and I had an appointment today, he called to let me know that in 20 minutes he will be in my house, i like talking to @Femi Oshikoya, he is one of the rare guys, sincere forthright, always learning and you can also learn one or two things from him.
We took two white chairs sat down in the shade enjoying the coolness the shade offered.
We spoke about business, our visions, families, hobbies and our conversation drifted into our concern for living an authentic christian life.
We both complained about moral relativism and the blurry line between right and wrong.
I reminded him of our need to have an anchor for our soul.
Our souls are like ship on the sea of life, without having our nail in the sure place or dropping our anchor we will soon discover that we have left the position we are in Christ.
Without an anchor for our soul, we are at the mercy of every winds of false doctrines that is blowing every where in the world.
Without an anchor for the soul, there is no strength and focus to contend earnestly for the faith that was once delivered to us the saint.
Our faith is for us to guard and to cherish, but we must have a standpoint in life from which we are operating from.
On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand...so the song says:
The anchor for the soul in troubled times is the word and the promises of God, if the word of God is the absolute TRUTH, then His promises is also TRUE, if He spoke it , He will bring it to pass, stick it out, stand your ground, believe His word for you...this is the anchor for your SOUL.
Most of us wants its now, but it is in a place called DONE...God says I have done it, I believe it because God said that: For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: AND GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORK....I am assured that it has been done and I will patiently wait for its MANIFESTATION...DELAY CAN NOT CAUSE ANXIETY...His words said : be anxious for nothing...this is the anchor for my soul.
when nothing is working in your spiritual life, marriage, career, finances etc...Jesus is the ANCHOR for THE SOUL: if we run to God for peace in every area of our life, we need to grab a hold on JESUS with both hands and never let go, Jesus is our unbreakable SPIRITUAL LIFELINE...that passes through all appearance leading directly into the presence of God.
@Femi Oshikoya and I ended our conversation in prayer, that our focus should remain on Jesus and we should pursue Holiness...without which no man can see God.
