Anchor for the Soul.
We took two white chairs sat down in the shade enjoying the coolness the shade offered.
We spoke about business, our visions, families, hobbies and our conversation drifted into our concern for living an authentic christian life.
We both complained about moral relativism and the blurry line between right and wrong.
I reminded him of our need to have an anchor for our soul.
Our souls are like ship on the sea of life, without having our nail in the sure place or dropping our anchor we will soon discover that we have left the position we are in Christ.
Without an anchor for our soul, we are at the mercy of every winds of false doctrines that is blowing every where in the world.
Without an anchor for the soul, there is no strength and focus to contend earnestly for the faith that was once delivered to us the saint.
Our faith is for us to guard and to cherish, but we must have a standpoint in life from which we are operating from.
On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand...so the song says:
The anchor for the soul in troubled times is the word and the promises of God, if the word of God is the absolute TRUTH, then His promises is also TRUE, if He spoke it , He will bring it to pass, stick it out, stand your ground, believe His word for you...this is the anchor for your SOUL.
Most of us wants its now, but it is in a place called DONE...God says I have done it, I believe it because God said that: For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: AND GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORK....I am assured that it has been done and I will patiently wait for its MANIFESTATION...DELAY CAN NOT CAUSE ANXIETY...His words said : be anxious for nothing...this is the anchor for my soul.
when nothing is working in your spiritual life, marriage, career, finances etc...Jesus is the ANCHOR for THE SOUL: if we run to God for peace in every area of our life, we need to grab a hold on JESUS with both hands and never let go, Jesus is our unbreakable SPIRITUAL LIFELINE...that passes through all appearance leading directly into the presence of God.
@Femi Oshikoya and I ended our conversation in prayer, that our focus should remain on Jesus and we should pursue Holiness...without which no man can see God.

The Marketable Lady.
Many have laughed over, but have now come to believe this word. Marketable ladies are first of all take-homeable, introduceable, and marriageable, they are sellable.
As many single guys out there, there are many marketable ladies that you can couple with.
If you are finding it very difficult to identify one, they possess these qualities that you are likely not to miss:
1. They are neither fake nor self centered: A self-centered person will think about herself all day long and how her relationships will benefit her alone, these pretenders act what they are not. A marketable lady has strong character and she believes in herself, but not in a proud arrogant way. A marketable lady is not too sophisticated, she is herself in a nice Italian restaurant and she is also herself in an African bukateria.
2. They are not a duller: A marketable lady is not a duller any day, she is teachable and a constant learner, she learns new things everyday and she is fun to be around, because, everyday you spend with her your intelligent quotient will grow. She does not know everything, but she knows enough to keep a conversation going.
3. They don’t Ignore: A marketable lady is a compassionate person and also a very good listener, they are care-givers, they show their affection and they should not be taken for granted. They give you a listening ear and after hearing out they want to be part of the solution. They show you the love you heart desire and this is the beginning of a very healthy relationship. Keep your eyes and ear peeled for a good listener; she is a winner any day.
4. They are never disrespectful: They are not interested in dominating the male, their attitude and their words show it, they see the male playing their leadership role, they submit and the make impact in their field, they are not saucy or rude. They are not to be stepped upon and used and pushed over, because, they are courteous, polite and respectful, they are like a genie you need to rub them the right way, you have not even seen them at their best.
5. They are LOYAL to the CORE: This is their core character and this will eventually conquer your love when you get married to them, they will do anything for you, financial bailout, sit in during your sickness, encourage and never leave you even when you lose your job, walk with you even though you don’t have a car.
These are not all their qualities, but I am sharing so far.
I will enlighten you more.
Thanks for reading.

LIVELY UP YOURSELF.
I also had a deadline to meet for an online fashion magazine that i was their faith writer, i became tired, depressed and sad. There was no one around me who understood what i was going through, there was no one to encourage me, for three 3 days i had a dark cloud over my head.
I sat down through all these and on the fourth day a verse of the scripture flashed through my head:
"to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified. Isaiah 61: 3
At that point in time, i knew that if it is going to be then it is all up to me, so i decided to shrug myself out of my frustrations and find encouragement in the Lord.
I guess it was really hard for David also in 1 Samuel 30: 6; when his own family, and possessions were also carried away, it should be bad enough. (Just imagine losing all your money in a bad investment during an economic crisis, and then your house is being repossessed because you can meet up your mortgage obligation, so u lose all your possessions, and then your family members are kidnapped in places like Aba or Port-Harcourt, and everyone around you not only didn't console you, but want to stone u to death. well you get the idea).
Imagining time like this, it should be really hopeless. But David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.
David has always trusted in the Lord; when he faced with Goliath, he was able to know that he WILL HAVE VICTORY because GOD WILL GIVE HIM VICTORY. Not at all by his own strength. David is a man after God's own heart, because he knows how to depend wholly on God.
It wasn't until when David encouraged himself in the Lord, that was when his mental block was destroyed and he knew what to do to change his situation.
Sometimes our current circumstances wants to get the best out of us, but we can become victorious by encouraging ourselves in the Lord. We can bless the name of the Lord at all times and let His praise be continually in our mouth.
When men of this world despise us despite our effort to turn our fortune around, let us make it a priority to seek God for divine direction for this will guarantee our safety and our VICTORY.

THE GRAND DECEPTION
Stealing the show is an old trade, it happened a long time ago in the bible, when Jacob with the help of his mum Rebekah, stole the paternal blessing from Esau whom the blessing of the first born was reserved. Jacob wore Esau’s clothes, put some hairy skin on himself, cooked their father’s favorite soup and organized what we called today THE GRAND DECEPTION. Jacob stole the show and stole the blessing.
Stealing the show sometimes may sound like a good idea, stealing other people’s blessing might be a fast way to get your success; I want you to pause and think for a moment and weight the consequences through the life of Jacob.
Although Jacob got the blessing, but he added enough sorrow to it (Proverbs 10:22), the grand deception cost him dearly:
• He never saw him mum again.
• He stirred up his brother’s wrath, and his brother wanted to kill him.
• His uncle Laban deceived him to slave Labor
• His family was torn by strife.
• His brother became an enemy nation (The Edomites)
• He was on exile for a long time.
The curse far outweighs the blessing; Jacob would have gotten his own blessing anyway, if he had waited upon the Lord for God to come to him at His own time.
We should have a rethink whenever the urge comes upon us to deceive people in order to amass material things, and this cuts across our spiritual life, career, relationships, marriages and academic life, a shot-cut might cut us short of God’s blessing and anointing.
After several encounter with God, Jacob had the opportunity to be restored to his brother Esau, and God made it right between them, if there is anybody we have hurt, we should retrace our steps and try to reconcile with them. May God help us in the mighty name of His Son. Amen.
Kanye West has retraced his step and has apologized to Taylor Swift.

STAGES OF VISION
VISION HAS 4 STAGES
1. The BIRTH of the vision- This is the initial period when you are filled with INSPIRATION & PASSION to ACCOMPLISH what GOD has ORDAINED you to do.
2. The FOUNDATION of the vision- This is when you INVEST everything you can into the birth vision. INVESTMENTS are PHYSICAL, MATERIAL and SPIRITUAL.
3. The DEATH of a VISION: There comes a time in a vision when NOTHING works, most of us don't want to identify with this stage of process.
4. The RE-BIRTH of the vision: This is when God steps in with is mighty hand and power and TURNAROUND your situation and give you STRENGTH.
The third stage is when most of us give up, but if we endure our vision will become a reality.

Awesome Power at the Unfailing Love Chapel
God has moved in an incredible way in the lives of the congregation at UFC was transformed… by the time i arrived in the church by 7:12pm they where already worshiping God with songs that were powerful and awe-inspiring…and I have a feeling their God is going to move in a fantastic way
After speaking for about 45 mins, i clearly heard the voice of the spirit say step back am about to move, before this words ended, the first 4 rolls in the church had already collapse under the power of anointing.
I made an altar call and prayed for those wanting to get married, to get married, the power of God was so strong that a sister and the usher fell and they had to be carried out of service.
The move was great, i look forward to visit UFC again.

ELOI,ELOI LAMA SABACHTHANI?
Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?
Text: Ps.22, Isaiah 49v15-16
Beloved
Let us give thanks to Lord, Our God and our saviour Jesus Christ for
always being there for us in our times of need . (thank you Lord)
You are a generation that are being called out of this cold, cruel and
perverse generationthe only chord of love and hope that binds us together as a society ,
is decaying and we are heading towards an imminent moral meltdown. The
wisdom of God is wiser than all the wise-men put together, when leaders
are trying to change men by creating institutions, Christ was changing
men inwardly. This is a matter concerning, the heart. On the calvary
our lord Jesus cried out at the ninth hour of his agony, “my lord, my
lord, why hast thou forsaken me. He had no-one to turn to, his disciples
ran away, his mother was helpless, his people had rejected him,
he was mocked, he was naked but not ashamed.
May around us are in this kind of situation and temptation, they need
someone to turn to and their religion or race is not the matter at hand.
God has created us for one another. There are homeless destitute and
we as children of the most high, we cannot turn our face away, we are
created for one another, our Lord want our light to shine so everyone
can see and give God the glorythese people with problems
around us, is not that they are against God but, man is born to troublewe are to help and not to scorn them (obadiah 12>
because on mount Zion they shall be delivered (v 17) we must cultivate a large heart, that is filled with christ-compassion, some researchers
said that Christ died of heart attack, because of grief, he grieved
because even at the point of death, he was being harassed by the people
HE LOVED SO MUCHJesus poured out himself in true love
and true humility to bridge the gap between mankind and God. He lead
the power struggle for the Human race and died with Amazing grace. HE
WAS SO FULL OF COMPASSION. There are many out there today in their many
afflictions crying (heard or unheard) Eli, Eli lama sabacthani. Let us
be there for them as our Lord Jesus Christ commanded “ Go and do thou
likewise” (Luke 10 v 37) God will help us to be broken and be filled
up with CHRIST COMPASSION ( In Jesus name)
Amen.

Growing in godliness.
GROWING IN GODLINESS
TEXT: 2 PETER 3 V 18; GAL. 4 V 1 – 4
Beloved,
We all discuss everyday, we argue on politics, sports, arts, music and we often spend time discussing ourselves and even one another, but I found out that SPIRITUAL GROWTH is hardly a topic in our homes, libraries and offices.
And I asked myself why? It is interesting to note that for us to get our inheritance from God, we need to mature or grow into the full stature of our savior Jesus Christ. The heir, as long as he is a child is no different from the servant, even though he is lord of all (Gal 4 v 1) as long as we keep on taking three steps forward and two step backward we are not ready to find rest unto our soul, that kind of rest Jesus Christ spoke about in Matthew 11 v 29.
Until we decide to put on the JESUS YOKE and LEARN of Him, we shall continue to languish in the MIRY PITS of ungodliness.
The meaning of ungodliness is ideas, living, standards and paradigms without God. How can a man survive without his God when the Bible declares that ‘FOR WITHOUT ME YE CAN DO NOTHING” this is to them whom the word of God came to and the scripture cannot be broken. Without God in our lives, our homes, our offices, our schools and even our church we can do NOTHING.
But Beloved there is a path of GRACE, Apostle Peter exhorted you and I to grow in Grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that his grace is sufficient for you. If you only continue in his words day to day and year to year, that’s only when his TRUTH will make you free, be instant in all season, watch and pray, thirst after Righteousness so that Anointing can fall on you. Total kingdom commitment is the pathway for abundant living and unfeigned Godliness.
God will help us as we resolve.

Believers Breakthrough Congress July 09
We all lifted our heart to God in deep worship and awesome praise as we looked back over the last 6month, we had so much to thank God for Good health, better relationship, being in the will of God, peaceful home and excellent spiritual live.
I started with what God is doing at the moment, exhorting the church to walk in dominion in order to get all-round success. I quoted scriptures such as Genesis 1: 26-27, Romans 8: 19, and Joshua 1 : 10.
I also gave insight into what it means to walk in dominion and my favorite example is dethroning false kings i.e. poverty, sin and sickness.
We sang our church miracle medley and prayed 10 prayer point, it was a very impartful service and people went home blessed.
I am looking forward to our prayer congregation next month by God's grace.

Yeast Of The Heart.
There was a very nice story on CNN recently about a Baker who helped about ten ducklings jump down from the roof of his shop in Spokane, Washington in United States of America, Spokane also is the home of my friend Chris Merkling who pastors a church there, and while I was thinking about the Baker who took these birds to the local river, I also wonder whether my friend Chris will use this Baker to talk to his congregation about taking the focus of ourselves and help other people, whether they a children or ducklings.
One aspect of Baking that still fascinates me is the yeast; the yeast is mentioned throughout the bible, one of the interesting place yeast was mention in the bible is Mark 8: 15, Jesus spoke about yeast, not his own yeast, we know he was a carpenter and not a baker, but he spoke about the yeast of the Pharisee and that of Herod.
Before we can understand what Jesus meant by the use of the word yeast, we should look at what yeast does to bread. Yeast puffs up the bread, giving it an inflated shape and allows it to be filled with hot air.
There are certain things that can puff us up, one of them is pride, pride could be positive or negative, and pride can destroy.
An inflated estimation of your past successes can lead to prideful behavior and as the saying goes pride comes before a fall. Pride finds comfort in false security; it also blinds you to your vulnerability to temptation.
Our pride can become positive, when we feel the satisfaction of what God does through us, not being proud of what we have accomplished but what God has done through us; you can feel positive pride in the integrity and the honesty of your life.
Negative pride can take you to two extremes, one is legalism the other is passion and vice, legalism is the end product of pride, this is not wanting to accept God’s grace in Christ Jesus and always trying to pay one way or the other for salvation that has been freely provided. On the other hand with all that success has provided for us, for some of us the next thing we want is to fulfill all our fleshly desires. Either way our negative pride like yeast can spread and influence other people.
This brings me back to the Baker of Spokane; he guarded the ducklings and their mother to a local river in the town till they are safe to swim away.

FOCUS ON THE TRUTH.
FOCUS ON THE TRUTH
As a young boy growing up in my neighborhood I was always faced with a daily threat from bullies, I could remember my encounter with one notorious boy, who had a reputation of beating up guys that were even bigger than him, before you have a fight with him, he would have sent his goons ahead to come and threaten you on how badly he would beat you.
When I received my threat, I had no choice than to face him in a fight, I found out he was not as strong as he threatened, so I defeated him and ever since, I became his boss.
This is the same with our adversary the Devil, he has no strength but strategies, all he peddles is lies (John 8: 44), one of my preacher friend said the Devil does not have any power except the one you gave to him, by not taking every thought captive and allowing ourselves to be trapped in his web of deception.
A lot of people today feel they are possessed or under one form of demonic bondage or the other, they are afraid to open up because someone might say they are mentally deranged.
Satan first attack is a LIE, your first defense must be the TRUTH, an encounter with the devil is not a power encounter, but a truth encounter, while he tried to deceive Jesus, the son of God did not bind him or cast him out, He only told him the TRUTH. (Matthew 4: 1-11)
All you need is to FOCUS ON THE TRUTH, by renewing your mind daily, filling it with the word of God (Romans 12:2), don’t loose touch with reality, engage yourself in positive productive thinking (Philippians 4:8), Gauge every thought with the word of God (2 Corinthians 10:5), and turning to God in prayer. Be anxious for nothing…(Philippians 4: 6-7)
My neighborhood bully still sees me, but now he is no longer a threat to me, so he was then, so he is now…Glory to God.
